They chose me!! - Part 3 Fashion History Museum's "Upcycling Challenge" 2024: The fabric

This post will be mostly photos, to document the fabrics in my "upcycling challenge". My next post will document the guidelines for the challenge and some of my first ideas.

As promised, by Jonathan, the Director/Curator of Cambridge's Fashion History Museum, I was sent a "one square foot" box of off-cuts. The box looks unassuming.

Can you believe all of this came from a one square foot box?

After photographing each fabric I tried to layer them in a colour-complementary way so I could begin to think about what garment(s) to make.

Here are images of each fabric and any documentation attached to that fabric piece. This images are in no particular order; this is simply a photo dump to have a record of each fabric.

The amount of fabric noted on some of the tags is not the amount of fabric that I received. For some reference about the amount of fabric, the oak flooring (beneath the fabric) is 4.5 cm or 1-3/4 inches wide.
